Interview With Author Jonathan Spain-Collins
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a school bus/rideshare/delivery driver from Boston, Massachusetts. I have written a grand total of nine books.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The name of my latest book is entitled Phenomenon: The Otherkind. The Marvel Cinematic Universe film The Avengers inspired me to write it.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I always love to mention the names of the chapters at the end of each one inspired by the video game Devil May Cry 3.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
John Ronald Reuel Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit have influenced me the most to write my books.
What are you working on now?
I am in the process of writing my next book. I am entitling it Trust and Betrayal – Desires Foiled
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Looking for either free or inexpensive ways to promote books.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
I tell any aspiring writers out there to write a book when you have the chance to.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
I remember hearing from the writer John Elderidge. He said do what makes you come alive.
What are you reading now?
I am currently reading a variety of manga such as Hayate the Combat Butler and Alice in Borderland.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I really want to get into screenwriting.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The first 4 volumes of the Ah My Goddess manga series.
