What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My newsest book is called, “The White House is Fake.” It was inspired by driving down Interstate 84 (I-84) in Connecticut and the idea came into my head. It was the year 1956 with President Dwight Eisenhower signing the bill for the Federal-Aid Highway Act into law. It was also known as the National Interstate and Defense Highway Act. The law was executed on June 29, 1956 with an estimate of over 25 billion for the 41,000 miles of highway to be built. In 1957 Dwight Eisenhower modified the Act to include a Presidential Protection Act. In 1992 Nelson Conrad discovered what the Presidential Protection Act was and how the government has been lying to the American People. Learn why the DOT (Department of Transportation) was involved in this secret since 1957. It wasn’t until 2016 until this truth was to be exposed. This is the story of Nelson Conrad.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
No. My ideas will come in random places and I will email myself a few words as a reminder for later reference. I tend to write in various places and at various times of day with no consistency.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
David Perlmutter (UK) – Wrong Place, Wrong Time
Jungle – Yossi Ginsberg
What are you working on now?
I’m working on my third publication entitled, “Letters for Annie: Memories from World War II.” It based on a real World War II letters from the Lombardo Family. This is the untold story based on real events but will be classified, “fiction,” as I’ll fill in some content to fill in the necessary gaps of the story. The book will release late 2018. What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Before releasing my second publication – I wanted to try something different. I decided to reenact certain chapters of my book and film it within Connecticut. The book is based in Alexandria, VA and we used many props including VA license plate and VA DOT vest, etc. We unlisted many friends to play certain characters from the book and used actual lines from the book in the movie trailers. I released the trailers prior to the book release for promotion. You can find the videos at www.TheWhiteHouseIsFake.com.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
In my own words, I’ve always said this and I wish everyone to repeat it. Perfection should be your own definition and not what everyone else thinks it is.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
There is something to be learned from a rainstorm. When meeting with a sudden shower, you try not to get wet and run quickly along the road. But doing such things as passing under the eaves of houses, you still get wet. When you are resolved from the beginning, you will not be perplexed, though you still get the same soaking. This understanding extends to everything. ~ hagakure book of the samurai
What are you reading now?
My focus is on my third publication so I’m not currently reading anything as of now.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Finish my third publication and as of now I’m an author as a hobby. One day, I’d like to become a full time author in the near future and focus on my writing 100% of the time.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
I would not bring any books with me. Instead, I would bring paper and pencils and craft some new books based on my experiences on the island.
