Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I write humorous non-fiction books on finance, with an aim to make it easier for non-finance professionals to gain a better appreciation of important financial issues. I am a financial professional with over 2 decades of experience in the investments and banking industries.
I have written 2 books till date, both of which are a humorous take on the issue of tax havens and how the rich & powerful use this to escape taxes.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Uber Tax Haven is my latest book. It is the second book in my 2-part book series on Tax Havens. This book was inspired by a desire to be able to do something against the growing issue of the lack of effective government response to the many leaks that have taken place highlighting the abuse of tax havens.
My response to the issue, is that tax havens should be made accessible to every person on the planet. It’s only if tax havens could be used by everyone, that governments would be forced to do something about the issue of the rich & powerful using tax havens to escape paying taxes.
The book details my plan for a revolutionary company that would make it as easy for anyone to join a tax haven and escape paying taxes, as it is to hail a taxi using Uber.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I tend to write in bursts of inspiration, at which times I can write extremely rapidly.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
The set of books in the Wiley Investment Classics list has been a great source of influence for me in my investments career. The books that have inspired me in terms of my writing style, include Where are the Customers Yatch’s and Liar’s Poker.
What are you working on now?
Trying to promote my books as a self-published author! 🙂
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
At early stage of learning how to promote my books. Don’t yet truly know the answer to this question.
