Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m a novelist and blogger from India. I’ve authored 4 books so far. My first three books are novels revolving around social issues. My first novel Dream’s Sake has a heart-wrenching love story showing doubts and insecurities of people with disabilities. My second novel Lemon Girl and third novel You Came Like Hope talk about opposite sides of gender crime. My latest book #JustRomance is lighter in tone and carries 7 delightful and happy short romances.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is #JustRomance. It is a collection of 7 short romances. My previous books are all serious in nature. When I was to start work on my fourth book, I felt emotionally exhausted. So, I decided to write something full of happiness. That’s what resulted in #JustRomance. All the stories in it are happy and cheerful and make the readers smile.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I studied English Literature for my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree courses. Then I worked as a freelance writer for several years. My task was to abridge English classics to make them suitable for pre-teens. All this has imbibed a love of classics in my heart. And I believe that all the great master’s I’ve read have left their mark on my writing. It is too hard to name one or two.
What are you working on now?
I’m planning a sequel to #JustRomance.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Blogger outreach. Also, I’m trying to build my mailing list and working hard to make my newsletters interesting and regular. I believe that helps a lot. I also advertise on Facebook
