Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a stay at home mom of two kids. I have always dreamed up stories and been a fan of reading. Finally one day, I decided that I would rather try self publishing and fail than to wake up fifty years from now and wonder what could have happened. So, I closed my eyes and jumped in. I published my debut novel, A Chance at Forever in November of 2016 and I just released book two, A Second Chance at Forever.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
A Second Chance at Forever is my most recent book. Mostly, I just wanted to create characters people could fall in love with.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write out my story as fast as I can, then I go back through and make changes and add in details while making corrections.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Too many to list. Almost any self published author inspires me. My biggest influence would have to be Author Kelly Moore. She has become a close friend of mine who helps me through the daily struggles in the self publishing world. I don’t know what I would do without her.
What are you working on now?
I am currently working on the third and final book in The Chance Series, Our Last Chance at Forever.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I’ve been trying a few different ones. Love Kissed Book Bargains has been the most effective.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write what you like. Don’t let people tell you that you shouldn’t write about this or that. Stay true to yourself. Close your eyes and jump!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Everyone has an opinion and not everyone will like your book. Don’t take it personally.
What are you reading now?
I just finished Pennies by Pepper Winters
What’s next for you as a writer?
After I finish The Chance Series, I am going to give my full attention to a book I’ve been writing for awhile now. I just haven’t had time to give it my full attention yet. It’s titled, Finding You in the Darkness by K.B. Andrews
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks
Hopeless by Coleen Hoover
Pieces of Gray by Kelly Moore
Anything that Abbi Glines has written
