Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a young woman who has been an aspiring author since I was twelve-years-old. I have written one novelette, Barren Sea, and a novel, Animus Vox.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest novel is Animus Vox. I originally wrote Animus Vox as a novelette when I was fifteen. My father loved the concept and encouraged me for years afterwards to make it a full length novel, which I finally did. Animus Vox is also a product of my deep interest in psychology.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
As far as I am aware, I do not have any unusual writing habits; however, I do like to draw my own covers.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I have been a fantasy fan since childhood, starting with The Chronicles of Narnia then on to The Lord of the Rings. I’ve read many fantasy books, such as The Harry Potter Series, and I greatly enjoyed H. G. Wells’s science fiction novels.
What are you working on now?
Currently, I am working on the second book of The Aporia Series, which follows after my recently released Animus Vox.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I use a variety of platforms, including Facebook and Amazon, both of which have excellent tools for book promotions.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
I genuinely believe self-authoring is the way of the future, so don’t feel as if you absolutely have to please a publisher in order to get your works out there!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The best advice I ever received was from my father and it’s quite simple: good, better, best, never let it rest until your good is better and your better is your best.
What are you reading now?
My friend recommended I read The Glass Throne series, so I am reading it currently.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I want to continue on The Aporia Series until it is finished. I have several book concepts which are outlined right now and I want to get working on them as soon as I am done with The Aporia Series.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
If I was stranded on a desert island and only allowed to take three or four books with me, I would bring The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy.
