Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I was born in Detroit, Michigan but moved to San Diego, and grew up there. After graduating from High School, I worked on the following list:
(a) Attending college.
(b) Joining the workforce
(c) Making lots of new friends
(d) Gaining experience interacting and dealing with people in the business world
Finally, I found a career path that intrigued me. I wanted to study how to treat and take care of the largest organ on human beings–the skin! This decision led me to a trade school to become a licensed Esthetician. After I passed the board test, I specialize in the paramedical field. I certified in pre/post-operative skincare for laser and cosmetic surgery patients; teen/ and adult acne corrective skincare; anti-aging treatments including skin peels; the use of advanced technology machines and treatment products. I received many hours of certifications learning various treatment modalities over the years. During the process, I researched and developed my unique custom-blend skincare products. I opened several clinics in San Diego before we (hubby and me) decided we wanted to move to the Colorado Rockies. Once we made a move, I opened a day-spa in Durango, CO. I worked with a plastic surgeon and did a lot of networking to expand the business.
Some years went by, and because of health issues with my parents, I decided to retire earlier than anticipated. After my parents passed away I decided to do something else I would enjoy doing; writing story ideas stashed away in my memory for years. I started writing as a hobby and also got back into waking up my artistic abilities by creating my own illustrations. A few people encouraged me to self-publish my work, and I did.
Yup! And that is when the real learning experience began is when I entered the publishing world arena. The writing side gives me a sense of purpose knowing that I’m able to send relevant messages out to kids (and older people, too) through the words that I write. I always tap into Universal Laws, such as the Law of Attraction in my stories. I show, more than tell, that we, humans, are capable of doing and being anything we choose by setting sharp, positive intentions in motion with a powerful focus. Then, I demonstrate how to relax and watch how good things can happen!
Another reason I love to write is that I’m able to create a world that I desire to live in where animals talk, and a whole lot of magic goes on everywhere!
I’m on going on creating book number five, now.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
This is no joke. The most recent book I wrote is called ‘FART BOOMER’S Let ‘Em Rip Butt Blaster Gang! In a Tale of . . . The Fart Bomb That Saves a World! What inspired this book? In my defense, this book was written on a dare. I’m grateful because it really gave my wild imagination an opportunity to soar and for me to realize I still have this crazy imagination going bonkers at my age! What might that age be? Ha! I will only reveal three words, ‘ageless and timeless’ and let’s leave it at that! LOL! Plus, I won’t go into detail how this ‘fart’ subject came up, but I will tell you it wasn’t a youngster who started this whole dare thing.
Seriously, I’m beyond worrying about what people might think about me writing a story about a silly but necessary bodily function that no one can avoid. And, when it comes right down to it, I’m willing to bet that 95% of people out there think farting is funny and the other 5% secretly do! LOL!
I’m quite pleased with the way the storyline of this book and the illustrations (I drew the main characters) came out. It’s a hilarious story and kids and adults both will get a kick out of this goofy book. However, I get even more kicks out of family members, friends, and others that react with surprise when they find out I wrote a book about Fart Boomer and his gang. I get the OMG, rolling eyes look. It gives me a good giggle or two.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Okay, if you don’t think I’m loony yet, you will now. FYI, this habit doesn’t happen during the summer, but only the winter months when it is cold here in the Rockies, I have to heat a warming pad for my feet. That’s right, and I can not start writing until my feet are warm! If this isn’t the answer you are looking for, I’m sorry, but it’s all I have. LOL!
What authors, or books have influenced you?
This might be another unusual answer. It is hard to pick just one author. What really is a big influence for me are all the self-publishing authors out there (a ton!) that are going through ropes, like I am, to learn this process. Kudos to all these authors! That fact alone keeps me inspired.
What are you working on now?
I am currently outlining my third book in my Dimensional Adventures With Arabella Trilogy Series. So far, my book title I’ve come up with is Wild Pegasus Ride. It is possible the title could change, but it will be a young adult fantasy adventure.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I’m still learning but I did create a landing page. I would love feedback. Here it is: https://www.adventureswitharabella.com/ebook/#NETHERWORLD-RESCUE
My website address: https://adventureswitharabella.com
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Even though I’m still green around the collar, the best two-word bit of advice I can offer is patience and perseverance.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
This may sound a little arrogant but it is ‘pearly wisdom’ that I have given myself (and believe me, I have to constantly be reminded to heed to my own advice!) And, here it is:
“You can have your head buried in the sand, but you still have your butt (I’m using a nice word here) sticking up in the air!”
What are you reading now?
Lately, after publishing and trying to promote three books, I have not had time to read but I finally have blocked out time each day on my schedule to find a good book, plant my behind in a comfortable chair, and READ for an hour! I love to read for relaxation and for learning and dislike when I don’t have a good book to sink into because I can’t find time to do it.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Writing the 3rd book in my trilogy series and creating another F. Boomer and gang adventure, and, of course, creating the art.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
I would sink myself into the Five Levels of Learning with the Wes Penre Papers. These papers (thick books) contain years of fascinating research this man has accomplished and shared for free about what is really going on in this world we live in.
