Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’ve published two novels and have another three in the works.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
For the Love of Leah was inspired by many things. The prevention of human trafficking is a cause I strongly support and I wanted to do this novel to give a voice to the victims who once rescued, continue to struggle well into their adult lives and sometimes their entire lives.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write in the middle of the night when the house is quiet, save for the cats going about their business.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
The first author I came to love was Danielle Steel. I appreciated her ability to take the reader on a journey with her. Nora Roberts taught me that stories aren’t one sided and to not be afraid to show both perspectives. There are more examples but we’d be here all night listing each author but those two will always shine for me.
What are you working on now?
I’m primarily focused on a thriller. It was originally supposed to be Romantic Suspense, but as the story came together, I found myself unable to call it anything but what it is. Readers are invited to follow along on my blog for more information.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I’ve used twitter a lot, but I’m always looking for new strategies at promotion.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Keep writing until it’s finished. Nothing else can take place, nor needs to be decided until the last word is written.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
I don’t recall where I heard it anymore but I was told that I could break any rule I want as long as I know the rules first.
What are you reading now?
Shadowland, by C.M. Gray
What’s next for you as a writer?
I’m going to be expanding into non-fiction with poetry and memoirs.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Likely something by Tolkien, Tolstoy, J.K. Rowling and C.M. Gray.
