Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I just published my first book and it’s a #1 New Release on Amazon!
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
It’s called “Homeschooling: You CAN Do It! Eliminate self-doubt and get the clarity, confidence, and skills you need to successfully teach your children from home.”
I was inspired to write it after meeting and talking with many people, women in particular, who were dissatisfied with their child’s education in the government schools, but who doubted their ability to teach their child well. I know from personal experience that you don’t need to have a teaching degree in order to successfully teach your children! I share my personal story, lead the reader through the decision-making process, help them achieve goal for each of their children, provide valuable resources, and much more!
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I love drinking a cup of strong English tea while I write. I never knew I liked tea until I lived in England ๐
What authors, or books have influenced you?
So many to name but here’s a few” C.S. Lewis, Beth Moore, Dannah Gresh, Tolkien, Milton, etc.
What are you working on now?
I just launched the book so I’m currently working on marketing the book and prepping talks for speaking opportunities.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Just figuring it out, so I don’t know that I have a best method yet…
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Since I’m a new author myself, I’m not sure I have much to contribute other than to say if you haven’t yet finished your book, and perhaps you are thinking you’ll never get it done, take one day at a time and work at it. It will get done!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
True wisdom comes from knowing God.
What are you reading now?
Glory in the Ordinary by Courtney Reissig
What’s next for you as a writer?
I have a few other book ideas but for now I’m focusing on getting the business side of my book up and running.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Bible, a survival guide, and my journal (if that counts!)
