Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a husband, father, Veteran, and amateur boat builder. Spring Break Iraq is my first book and I am very proud of it.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The name of the book is Spring Break Iraq. The inspiration came from my experiences overseas and the desire to tell a story that highlights the internal struggle of today’s service member. I wanted to paint a picture through words of what war and the military is like today, so that it isn’t lost tomorrow.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
No, but I do have quite a coffee addiction.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I read all of the greats within the military genre before writing this book, but I think the most influential author I have read would be Ayn Rand and her book We The Living.
What are you working on now?
Something completely different. A coming of age literary fiction tale with overwhelming tones of the 80’s and Americana. Its gonna be rad.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Grassroots
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Nope, I am one.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Give it a try and see how it works out.
What are you reading now?
Around the World in 80 Days.
What’s next for you as a writer?
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
I don’t know, something quirky like a survival series where the books double as a life raft, clean water, and a fishing pole.
