Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am currently final editing my third novel. Each one has brought its’ own challenges and great fun to write.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
I am a major history buff, I was inspired to write about the hardships of the Dust Bowl, my novel “As the Rains Break” should be out in early January
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
What is unusual? What is normal for the hawk is hell for the chipmunk
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I am a rather large fan of many different authors, from King and hemmingway to Seuss and Wilde, each has many merits and offer great inspiration
What are you working on now?
I am still marking “Glass Screams” “3rd Hand Ranch” and “As the Rains Break” and then right on to many, many more.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I am still navigating many of the avenues to market, none of it is very simple or express but all of it is a learning experience.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
EDIT, forcing yourself to write isn’t the challenge, its the editing when you feel you are done. Finishing a book is like finishing a marathon, the editing is like climbing a sand dune.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“Write drunk, edit sober” -Hemingway
What are you reading now?
I usually write for several hours a day while being a single parent and navigate the social media platforms associated with being an author, I wish I had more time to read
What’s next for you as a writer?
I have several hundred book plots and characters and have a long list of novels I want to publish as soon as possible, I am having a blast getting more recognition and seeing my covers and profile info in places like Pinterest.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Wow, slaughterhous five, where the sidewalk ends , war and peace.
