Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’ve been writing all my life but until the advent of Kindle Direct Publishing never thought I would find an audience for my stories. I’ve just published one book so far but have many more in the fold.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Love’s Labour was inspired by my time in London as a struggling grad student. I lived in a shabby apartment but had an interesting neighbor and one thing led to another. The names were changed to protect the innocent.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I like to stay up late an night-not sure how unusual that it is-but find it easier to be creative when the kids (and husband) are asleep. My alter ego can come out and play.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I really like TC Boyle for fiction-I think he’s the best contemporary writer we have. I’ve read all the classics and have never been a fan of romance which is strange because that’s what I write.
What are you working on now?
I have a shifter book coming out and also a young adult fantasy (very magical)
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I was happy to find Awesomegang but have just relied on Amazon in the past.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Don’t quit.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“If you find yourself going through hell, keep going.”
Winston Churchill
What are you reading now?
No Place Like Oz by Danielle Paige
What’s next for you as a writer?
Shifter Paranormal Romance and Young Adult Fantasy novels.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Not sure. Could I bring my Kindle and lots of back up power?
