About Little Me and Little You by Marc Jarchow
We all grow, at least physically. To some extent, we are also forced to grow up mentally and usually we feel we are doing OK. Then one day someone comes along and introduces us to the Bible and then the growing-up journey really begins. This book is about our journey, Marc and Joan, and the things we learned as we grew up and got older in the process. It is also about the Little People within us, the ones we all have to deal with, our reactionary first responders, the selfish Voices that keep advising us what would be best for us in each and every situation and how we learned to deal with them and keep on learning because whether we like it or not, they will always be there.

.
None of this prepared him for what was to come
.
He spent the next thirty years learning about God in the context of his marriage, his parenting and interacting with the church community that he was a part of. A lot of it was good and some of it was bad and all of it was worth learning from. As the years rolled by he felt the need to document all the things that he had observed in the preceding decades and these observations will be released over time. The first effort was called ‘Walk with Me,’ a collection of day-to-day experiences as they happened but also how to look at them from the perspective of pleasing God. He sold a few copies but then withdrew the book for further editing and refining.
The second book is called, ‘Little Me and Little You,’ and covers the experience of being married and having marital interactions with Joan and yet feeling that all the interactions operated at two levels. One level watched from the outside as two adults interacted with each other using all the tools that they had learned to use in their current mature state of life. The second level watched from the inside from the perspective of a small child who wanted to respond as children do. The book deals with understanding this complexity and figuring out how best to deal with it from a Biblical viewpoint.
