Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I have spent 2018 doing anthologies for both charity and royalties, with different groups and different people, getting my feet wet with the various genres and ways things are done. I’ve bounced all over the place from sci-fi space opera to horror, and everything in between. I’ve published one full length novel this year and one novella. Many more solo projects are in the works for next year.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My current book, a novella, is Autumn Magic. I love everything autumn, but here in Florida, I have to go to Hobby Lobby or Joann’s to see all their decorations to get the fall feel. I love romance and just wanted to add a little twist to the story.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I am a pantser – a last minute, rush to the deadline, work best under pressure writer.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I love Nicholas Sparks and Cecelia Ahern for their ability to kick you right in the feels with their stories. I aspire to write something that affects people the way they do.
What are you working on now?
I have three more novellas coming up for winter, spring, and summer, as well as an ice cream themed novella coming out next July. I have two novels in the works and several collaboration projects.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Word of mouth is the best way. Sharing on Facebook works, but I’ve found the old fashioned face-to-face has great benefits. Awesome Gang has been….well, awesome….also!
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Don’t give up. There is so much more to the writing career than just writing the story. Build your tribe and keep them close. You can’t do it alone.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Be true to yourself.
What are you reading now?
Reading is a thing? haha I have bookshelves lined with books that need to be read. I recently started Catch.net by Rita Delude.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Trying to build a reader following that think my stories are wonderful and love to leave reviews.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Faery Tale – Raymond Feist
The Rescue – Nicholas Sparks
PS I Love You – Cecelia Ahern
How to Survive on a Desert Island 😉
