About Lords of Apocalypse: Nexus by Randy Dean Noble
The blurb:
A modern-day gunslinger is thrust into the depths of the supernatural.
Could you sit in a chair for an hour and not move, in an abandoned farmhouse with such a horrid past that no one has lived in it for over a century?
That’s just what Boston, a man who needs to know death is not the end, intends to do. Where others have failed, run off screaming, he will prevail, not overreact – nothing will drag him from that chair. But things don’t always go as planned.
Fans of supernatural suspense and high-octane thrills are sure to love the gripping adventure found in Lords of Apocalypse: Nexus
More Info:
This is a fast-paced supernatural thriller that contains strong language and violent scenes.
It’s book one of what will be three books in my Lords of Apocalypse series. Book two is also out, The Quisling. And I’m currently working on book 3 (The Forsaken), which will conclude this series–I’m planning to have that published by October.
I consider the story (and the series) multi-genre, as it’s full of action, mystery, some horror, supernatural, and thriller. The main character is a loner, and due to his past has a hard time trusting anyone. But that’s exactly what he’ll need to do after things go to hell during his initiation night to get into a paranormal investigation group.

Author Bio:
My love for stories started with movies and books followed after. Even before I read a lot, I wrote. I’ve been writing off and on since I was a kid, and only recently got serious about it.
I published my first book in 2010 (Surviving the Theseus – a sci-fi horror thriller where thousands of passengers vanish on a space cruise vessel) — I never liked the editing service I originally used, so I had it republished in 2015 after I had it re-edited, and added an epilogue in 2021 (along with an audio version, on Audible) — basically, I spent too much time on one book, instead of writing more. But I’m writing more now, trying to make a career of it if at all possible.
My original plan, before I considered becoming a writer, was going to film school. But it never happened and what started as an interest in film developed to my true passion: telling stories.
To make a living, I worked in I.T. – I worked in I.T. from one aspect to another since 2000 (programmer/analyst, support/analyst, desktop support, interface analyst for healthcare, and a master of none — I had a lot of experience in many different aspects of I.T., basically a generalist).
In January of 2024, my most recent I.T. job (a contract position in healthcare) came to an end. And, with the support of my wife (and what money I could save) I’m currently writing fulltime – I treat it very seriously and work at it every day. I’m hoping I won’t have to go back to I.T., but that remains to be seen.
Other than working on book 3 of the Lords of Apocalypse series, I’ve also written another standalone story called, Spiral, but I still need to get through editing. I plan on having it out before The Forsaken (book 3). Spiral is a story about a group of strangers thrown into a game where they have to race for their life, and they have no memory of how they got there or who they are.
Anyway, I don’t mean to ramble on. Other than writing, I still have a great love of movies, and there’s some great TV shows nowadays on the multitude of streamers out there. I don’t play as often as I used to, but I still play video games (I have a PS5), and if this is a hint at my age, I grew up on the Atari 2600 (I’m no spring chicken, but, mentally, my wife would say I’m still twelve years old).
