About Love Unforeseen
Being the heir to one of the wealthiest men in Europe has its downsides. The expectations. The pressure.
One day when my father decides to do a vanishing act only to turn up several hours later in hospital with injuries he sustained after pursuing the wrong person on his afternoon jaunt to a local bar I think my luck is in. How wrong was I? Very. My efforts to find him a personal nurse to take the responsibility away from me lead me to do somethings I’m not proud of. One thing leads to another and I end up agreeing to meet somebody on thier terms, not normal for me or my father. We never yield to demands…usually. I was desperate so agreed. I showed up, opened my mouth, and received a punch in the face for my troubles. Yes, it was love at first sight, not that I knew that then. We have hurdles to jump, problems to navigate, people to convince, will I? Will I get the man I loved at first sight? Will he accept me, baggage and all? Or will I suffer rejection and heartache to add to my past traumatic experiences?
Things aren’t always as they seem. Meeting James Stanford taught me that. I knew him of old, he didn’t remember me or what he had done to me more than a decade ago. Today, in the present, I lash out. Over the course of the few hours after I find out things about him, he didn’t want me knowing. Knowing what I know about his past doesn’t make up for his actions, but it explains them. Then something from my past comes back to haunt me. Who steps in like a white knight on his steed to save Chloe, my flat mate, and me? James Stanford. The process won’t be easy for either of us. Can we come out the other side of our combined problems to create something we both deserve?
