About Luis the Spaniard – Turn by Fatimah Al Amro
Luis Jiménez, a Spanish Formula 1 driver, arrives in Riyadh after a year away from racing—publicly as a business investor, and as a preparation for his surprise return at the Jeddah Grand Prix.
He thought this would be a quiet restart… until he meets Yasmine, a mysterious Saudi woman who keeps crossing his path. Their story unfolds in a hotel, on city streets, and in the space between private silence and public pressure.
Luis the Spaniard – Turn is the first in a four-part series inspired by Formula 1, blending suspense, emotion, and the quiet cost of fame.

Author Bio:
Fatimah Al Amro is a Saudi novelist and cultural columnist who writes in both Arabic and English. Her stories often explore identity, emotional complexity, and the subtle intersections between people, places, and silence. She is the author of Aslan’s Sky, a romantic comedy set between Saudi Arabia and Turkey, and Luis the Spaniard—a four-part series inspired by Formula 1, praised by Arabic and Spanish media as the first Arabic novel influenced by the racing world.
Fatimah has been passionate about fiction since childhood. She often describes herself as a visual thinker—someone who grew up imagining herself inside paintings her father brought from Italy, building stories from color and shadow. Today, she continues to write with that same sense of wonder, always searching for the emotional truth behind every scene.
In addition to writing novels, she contributes a regular column focused on arts, cinema, and literature. She hopes to one day see her work adapted for the screen.
