Shane Silsby is civil and transportation engineer who, for over 20 years, held various government leadership positions in cities and counties across the United States. More recently, he has worked as an executive in the private sector with multiple international engineering firms. Shane is passionate about sharing his experience working with and within local government agencies, specifically with emerging leaders. He regularly shares his knowledge via speaking engagements and training groups through the American Public Works Association and the American Society of Civil Engineers. He also provides strategic advice on improving organizational culture, increasing effectiveness and efficiency of operations, refining financial approaches to capital projects, and establishing goals and accountability metrics.
