S.E. Anthony is a spoken word poet, writer, activist, and mental health advocate based in Washington, D.C. She has appeared on podcasts such as “Ballin with Keisha” where she shared her journey of healing through her work, and has spoken on the unjust reality of her life as a social justice organizer in Ars Poetica Magazine. The passion behind her pen stems from a desire to help others own their stories and memories, no matter how distorted they may initially seem. She established her voice and love for poetry through daily journaling and watching Def-Jam poetry. S.E.’s work invites readers to explore their inner selves and follow her on a bold journey of questioning worth, sanity, healing, and reality.
