What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
This book is warmly dedicated to my incredible team, especially to those dubbed the FUNMEISTERS, who have enlightened me immensely on the art of nurturing friendships within the workplace and beyond. You have shown me that work can be more than just a source of income, but also a place of joy, support, and growth.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I am not extrovert, but no one would ever call me an introvert. To sit in a room alone and write is my version of torture.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
John Maxwell
Stephen Covey
What are you working on now?
I own a leadership expert, speaker, and a podcast host and have other business ventures – plus my family to keep me plenty busy!
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
https://www.askmaclegacy.com/ is the website for my home health and hospice consulting business. They have a large following in the health care industry.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
My advice for new authors is to get a good editor/ collaborative writer — They will nit pick a lot of things that you can be willing to let go of, but stand up for the points that you really believe in.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
From Winston Churchill, “Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in, except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”
What are you reading now?
John Maxwell’s High Road Leadership
What’s next for you as a writer?
I would like to publish a few more books. I have some ideas that will go along with my current book: Perhaps a workbook for business leaders, and a devotional for community leaders.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Bible
The Women
Tattooist of Auschwitz
