Interview With Author Mark Stubbles
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a hypnotherapist/coach the specializes in helping anxiety and complex trauma sufferers. I have several online courses helping people conquer smoking addiction, achieve weight loss goals, and cultivate unwavering self-confidence.
But my true calling lies in dismantling the grip of anxiety and depression. I believe in addressing the root causes of anxiety and empowering individuals to rewrite their narratives. I like to believe my personal journey of overcoming chronic anxiety lends an unparalleled authenticity to my work.
I have written four books but have only published three, one of them “Beyond Anxiety” is available for free via my website. It explains more about my personal struggles and why I believe inner child healing is the best way to overcome most issues, especially anxiety.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is called Hypnotic Conversations : The Art of Everyday Influence. It was inspired by my Udemy course which has the same name. I have a passion for hypnosis and communication. Writing the book and creating the course was something I really enjoyed.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I probably have lots of unusual habits, not just writing ones but none that I am aware of.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I am not really a big reader, I have probably only read three books in my life. I found “Homecoming” by John Bradshaw to be the most profound, it really helped me break free from a toxic family situation and overcome a life time of abuse.
What are you working on now?
Now, I am focused on promoting my latest book and course. I am thinking about creating a new book and course around the topic of Socratic questioning.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I am very new to this and haven’t found one yet.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Never give up
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
I don’t know, probably what I just typed above. Never give up
What are you reading now?
Nothing, I am not a big reader lol. I am currently doing quite a few online courses though. Anything to do with marketing, YouTube, psychology interests me.
What’s next for you as a writer?
As a writer. Just to improve, become better at telling stories.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
I’d probably want books to do with desert island survival lol.
