Interview With Author Mary Ojile
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m an Author, a blogger, an entrepreneur and the CEO/Founder of Marigold Butterfly. I like to read, write and be in nature, and I have a passion for helping children. Growing up, I would raid my fathers library of book and read in my spare time. This prompted me to start writing my own stories at the age of 7. I get my inspiration for my books from the dreams I have.
I have written several book but I have only published one, MARAEL which can be found on Amazon Kindle.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My first and latest book is called MARAEL. It was inspired by the dreams I had from a young age right up to when I became and adult. I also drew my inspiration from my walk with God.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write on my laptop but I often like to hold a pen while I type. I call it my ‘thinking pen’.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Judith Mcnaught is one of my favourite authors.
What are you working on now?
I’m working on book 2 of MARAEL.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I promote with friends, family, and mostly with social media sites.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Research on new ways to improve your writing skills. Observe the writing skills of famous authors and learn from them.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Never give up!
What are you reading now?
I’m writing at the moment and not reading.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I will continue to publish the books I’ve written and also write more books.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Bible, The more I see you, Divine son of Ra, Whitney my love.
