Interview With Author Maxamillion Moon
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I have written several books for trad publishers in my day job, but I just completed my first self-published vampire hunting fiction novel.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The book is called “Death Reapers: Book of Lilyana – A Vampire Hunter Novel.” It has been a mythology and universe I created over 20 years ago, originally as a handwritten manuscript in a notebook but I finally polished and edited it into a publishable form to share with the world. I’m heavily inspired by vampire lore.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I am a reader of Anne Rice and Hideyuki Kikuchi, also a large fan of the Blade and Underworld series and my book has a similar vibe as those worlds.
What are you working on now?
Promoting my Death Reapers: Book of Lilyana – A Vampire Hunter Novel, trying to build an online presence for it.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
I myself am a new author in the indie self-published scene, so I’ll let you all know when I have words of wisdom to share.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
That it is a slow grind, hopefully the payoff for all the hardwork comes at the end
What are you reading now?
I’m currently reading Vampire Hunter D.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Promote my book and let the world know it exists and began working on the follow-up sequel to the series
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
I’d like to finish the Vampire Hunter D series that I am currently reading and I would also add the Vampire Chronicles.
