Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m a Brit, living in Yorkshire, England with my husband and two grown up children. I love listening to music and am a rock chick at heart.
Gardening is my latest hobby, it is full of surprises, and you can never out-do mother nature!
I love travelling with my husband to new destinations where we soak up the culture and it often inspires my to write it into my books.
I’m just finished my third book, a giveaway novella, which will be emailed to my newsletter subscribers at the end of this month.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My last release, Loving his ANGEL, was a follow up in a Rock Star Romance duology about a London rock guitarist growing up in the eighties and I was inspired by my love of the rock music of that era.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I try to let the characters speak out in my writing and often just go with their take on life and actions that they want to describe.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I have been influenced by a lot of authors and read a wide range of genres from Stephen King’s horror, through Douglas Adams’ sci-fi comedy, to Phillipa Gregory’s historic romances and Colleen Hoover’s angsty contemporary romance stories.
What are you working on now?
A standalone contemporary romance about a woman whose life falls apart when her husband cheats on her and how she picks herself up with the help of her sister and a sexy man.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I like to give away some of my books to allow readers to take a chance on my stories. So any site that promotes free books and my stories are available in Kindle unlimited.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Publish. Don’t worry that no-one will like or even buy your book. If you don’t publish they certainly won’t.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Always remember the reader. That’s the whole point of writing a story, for it to be read.
What are you reading now?
Naxetus, by an author local to me, Victoria L James.
What’s next for you as a writer?
To keep writing. And publishing.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Lord of the Rings trilogy by Tolkien and So Long and Thanks for all the Fish by Douglas Adams.
