Interview With Author Michael Le Flem
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Hi, my name’s Michael and I’m the author of Visions of Atlantis: Reclaiming Our Lost Ancient Legacy (2022). I’ve written two books, and I’m always excited to see how readers expand their perspective after reading my works.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
I published Visions of Atlantis: Reclaiming Our Lost Ancient Legacy in December 2022, after seven years of research and writing. It was honestly one of the strangest projects I’ve ever worked on, but I’m so proud of its reception and the amazing people I’ve met since it was released. If you’ve ever wondered what went down in our lost ancient past, this really is the book for you.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I’ve written on my phone, in hostels, hotels, on airplanes, and in remote mountains without wifi. If you have a great idea and are passionate about it, nothing can stop you.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Graham Hancock was a big influence as far as nonfiction, as were Michael Crichton, Rick Atkinson and Chris Hedges. Some of my favorite fiction writers are John Fowles, Paul Bowles, Don DeLillo, and of course, Bill Shakespeare….the master.
What are you working on now?
A book on pirates.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Never run, never hide. Only you know if you have a great idea, and never let anyone stop you. Share your gifts with the world and let them judge you on the merits of your abilities. Nothing more, nothing less.
What are you reading now?
Rereading Marcus Aurelius’ Confessions.
What’s next for you as a writer?
International book tour, hopefully.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Oh wow. Everything Rick Atkinson wrote, The Kybalion, The Collected Works of William Shakespeare, The Enchiridion.
