About Midnight Run
Leon Aronofsky wasn’t exactly ambitious. A mid-level planner at a London media agency, he contented himself with researching satellite tracking for cats, or the latest consumer trends in eco-friendly hygiene products. He’d get coffee with his friend Tom and complain about their boss. Sometimes he’d even think about asking Izzy Jones out for a pizza…but never actually do it. The usual.
But then one night, after accidentally passing out at an office party, Leon wakes up in the dark to find he’s trapped in the building, and that the company he works for is actually a front for a secret technology project so out of this world that the U.S. government is suddenly trying to kill him for it. Things were suddenly looking up.
Armed with little more than a third-degree hangover – and the vague assurances of Quinn, a shadowy American agent – can Leon find a way to keep himself and Izzy, ex-physicist and part-time corporate therapist, alive? Who can they really trust? And how will they stop the secret from falling into the wrong hands, and still get to his mums in time for Friday night dinner?

Author Bio:
Oliver has spent most of his working life in design. Aside from a brief stint as a rendering artist on the animated film ‘Granpa’, and a poverty-making experiment as an art student in Sheffield, he worked his way through a bunch of ad and design agencies you’ve probably never heard of until, eventually, he ended up as a Creative Director for a global digital consultancy. Then finally, after thinking about it for twenty-five years, he wrote a book.
In the other bits of his life, Oliver rattles around north-west London trying to keep up with the (mostly) loving demands of his family and the other strange animals that live in his house. Then, if there’s any time left, he avoids dairy, goes for the odd run, and walks his dog Indiana (yes, yes, that Indiana). Occasionally he bakes sourdough bagels from scratch.
