About Murder at the Bingo Hall by Linda Perelman Pohl
Sunday night bingo at St. Angela’s Church in the little Village of Kenmore, New York, can be deadly. The stakes are high and the crowd is large. Priscilla Hatfield needs just one number to win! She is bursting with excitement when her winning number, I-17, is called. As she begins to shout “Bingo,” Priscilla suddenly grabs her chest and slumps over dead with her two lucky trolls, Jasper and Seymour, and her rosary beads by her side. Her two best friends and bingo buddies have good reason to believe she’s been murdered. Fearing the police investigation is going nowhere, Ethel Dinwiddie and Nellie Pearce take matters into their own hands and vow to solve the crime. These quirky, amateur sleuths use creative, unconventional means to uncover evidence to try to find the murderer. Ouija boards, psychics and Nellie’s Catch-a-Killer cookies (recipes included) all play a part in their search for justice. What did Priscilla stumble upon that made her a killer’s target? And will these two feisty bingo-dabbing seniors be able to solve the crime before they become the next victims.

Author Bio:
Thank you for stopping by! Nothing brings me greater joy than writing. Unless, of course, it is someone reading my book and enjoying it. Throughout Covid, I have spent so much time with Ethel and Nellie. In the midst of rewriting, after several drafts, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Rarely a day went by, that I did not look forward to sitting down at the computer and spending time with these feisty ladies. Without them, I don’t know how I would have survived the many days and nights when things often seemed so frightening and uncertain. Being able to write about their courage and determination helped me face my troubles and deal with them in a positive way. I drew strength from their character. I feel blessed to say that following surgery and radiation, I am cancer free. I co-authored the book entitled Doctor, Are You Listening? with Dr. Masood Khatamee, a New York City reproductive endocrinologist. He and I appeared together on several television shows and spoke before numerous groups. I recently completed a Women’s fiction novel entitled Secrets and Sins. I am busy at work finishing up The Evil Ex-Wife. I hope to shortly start my next cozy mystery following the adventures of Ethel and Nellie on their next case! I love to read, write, play bingo, play canasta and travel (when it’s not Covid). I am happily married to my high school sweetheart, Stuart, and we have two daughters and four wonderful grandchildren. One of my greatest joys is spending time with Aiden, Jack, Lilly and Milo.
