About Nature of Society by Nigel Gittens
This book begins with the first principles of economics where the primary factors of production namely land, labour and capital are listed and defined. It goes on to show that the true nature of society is one where these factors must be brought into balance if economic justice is to be had by ALL. By balance is meant that all three factors must be of similar value, not one above the other (land over labour or capital over labour or land over capital), which of course is the case today. It is only then that a sustainable economy or sustainable economics could be had and maintained. The book will show how these unbalanced factors of production have disheveled economies, both western or eastern, developed or developing, and will layout a prescription for how environmental conservation, full employment and optimum economic growth and social justice could be realized. It will also show how tariffed and protected trade has not led to the highest prosperity of countries nor its working classes. The book will also lay out the deleterious impact that traditional personal and corporate income taxes have had and is having on wealth production, employment opportunities and diversification in all countries and how these regressive taxes can be successfully replaced with a progressive tax system.
