Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Basically I’m a doctor, a Physiotherapist by profession. Earlier I had completed my Diploma in pharmacy & so I’m a pharmacist too. Months ago, I started to cultivate my passion as a writer & storyteller and recently I have written my first book. Apart from that, I’m a simple girl with so many tiny crazy dreams.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
It’s “OUR 6.5 YEARS” – an imaginary realistic love story. Few stories, experiences and people around me left an imprint on my heart which inspires and motivates me to write.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Yes I do have, either I don’t write a single word or when I write I don’t stop writing and editing till it get perfect no matter how much time it takes or how much pain I feel in my fingers.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Except my medical books (smiles) I have read almost every novel of Durjoy Datta and Chetan Bhagat, John Green’s “Fault in our stars & Paper town”, Joseph Murphy’s “Believe in yourself”, Rhonda Byrne’s “The Secret”, Nicholas Spark’s “The Notebook”, Stephenie Meyer’s “Twilight” series. etc
What are you working on now?
In search of next inspiration.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I think the best method is to keep feeding your reader’s with new but relatable writings. Whether it’s via Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or via your Blog.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
I’m a new author too (smiles). I don’t have much experience, i’m still learning to be a better me but one thing I would like to advice those who are writing or wanted to start writing, “Trust yourself and don’t stop writing until you finish your first draft”, because it happens with so many people, they start writing but couldn’t finish and they give up in between.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Dont allow somebody else’s opinion or your own fears to control you, just trust your inner vibes and learn to love yourself before you love anybody else.
What are you reading now?
Right now, I have two books in my bucket list – “Born to Love, Cursed to feel – by Samantha King Holmes and “How to unleash your true potential” by Shivam.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Frankly speaking, I haven’t thought of anything relating to it, yet. (Hahaha)
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
If only 3-4 books then 2 of my bucket list I mentioned above. Third “I hope this reach her in time” by r.h. Sin and 4th will be my diary, in which I usually write my stories.
