Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a Polygraph Examiner working along the Gulf Coast from Daphne, Alabama. I have offices in Daphne, Alabama which just across Mobile Bay from Mobile, Alabama. In addition I have offices in New Orleans, Louisiana, Montgomery and Birmingham, Alabama, Tallahassee, Florida and Jackson, Mississippi. My book is the first published book I have written. I wrote an earlier book I self Published on Amazon but I have taken it down.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
I have just finished the manuscript of my latest book entitled, Two Men from Dead Fall. This is the story of my great Grandfather Jake Armstrong and his best friend John Barganier. I take them from being born and raised in rural Butler County, Alabama in a community named Dead Fall through the Civil War and the battles they fought in until Jake was wounded and lost his leg. I found his diary from the Civil war and utilized it. I then take them into the world of politics until Jake was murdered and the perpetrators taken from the jail and hanged from the balcony of the Courthouse in Greenville, Alabama,
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I just love to write and I just let it flow out.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
As a young kid I began by devouring everyone of Edgar Ice Burroughs Tarzan books. The as time went on I loved To Kill a Mockingbird. I also was a big fan of Truman Capote and his books.
What are you working on now?
I have been working on a book about my days as a young Alabama State trooper and the Civil Rights era that I was immediately plunged into in 1964 when I became a Trooper.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
My best method so far has been facebook
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Look for lots of disappointments but keep on plugging along.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Regarding writing was a successful lady author told me to not worry about much but just let the writing flow out.
What are you reading now?
I haven’t been reading lately most of my free time has been spent researching my books
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
