About Never Turn the Page Too Soon
Abandoned in a bookstore by his author, a tween hero (in book form) must prove he can rival the best the bookstore has to offer or risk being fed to the LYONS (an industrial-sized paper-shredder). Think “TOY STORY” in a bookstore and you have a whimsical tale about how to survive a night in a bookstore while suffering a full-blown identity crisis.

Author Bio:
Embracing the adage “everyone has a story to tell”, I, Leslie Henderson, decided to throw my hat into the ring with my debut novel, Never Turn the Page Too Soon, the first book of my SHELF LIFE trilogy. The book is an adaptation of my award-winning animation screenplay titled SHELF LIFE, which introduces an underdog that everyone can relate to; one who redefines what it means to be a good book.
I began my writing career as a freelance writer for a now defunct magazine in Houston, TX. after I discovered I had a knack for storytelling. Soon after, I found myself engrossed with the craft of screenwriting. However, despite winning and/or placing highly in notable screenplay competitions, I became disenchanted with the lack of opportunities for newbie writers, so I decided to switch genres and adapt my award-winning screenplays into books which I am now indie-publishing.
I chose indie publishing over traditional publishing because I love having creative control over my brainchildren. What could be better than that?
The only advice I have for newbie writers who find themselves on the fence about whether to indie-publish or pursue traditional publishing, I believe it’s a judgment call we all have to make. There is a ton of responsibility involved and what works for one author may not work for another, so authors beware.
