Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I have been a developer for the past 20 years both as a hobby ans professionally. For the past 8 years I have been working as an ESL teacher in South Korea. During that time I studied and improved my English that would then focus on writing blogs.
My latest blog covers inspirational quotes and personal experiences. Most of that has come from work as well as my travels.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is a book that almost did not happen. The material is a collection of my teaching notes. I would teach many ages covering many subjects, but all with the aim of improving their confidence.
The material has mainly come from the past 3 years that has changed and been adapted during my own learning of how to treat students better.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I have to confess that most of my writing does come from walking through parks and fields with my smartphone. I would talk into it and convert and transcribe it later.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
No. Simple answer really. I see the work as an entity and would not chain me tot hem again. There are any great works out there and to vary and read different areas can improve our on focus.
What are you working on now?
I am mostly working on educational titles with focus on non native English speakers. I have had a unique experience of being able to adapt and change my own curriculum to fit my student’s needs.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I am new to marketing books and so I am in a work in progress.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
I would say to write down all ideas and keep records of what you do. It would repay you time over.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Great advice I received was to simplify my life and to remove distractions.
What are you reading now?
I am reading gardening books right now. I have moved countries and plan to setup a blog in vegetable gardening later.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I aim to continue in educational works.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
