Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
My name is Nihar Suthar. I grew up in the small town on Lewistown, PA. Currently, I am a college student at Cornell University in New York. I discovered my love for writing just last year when I started putting together a book manuscript just for fun. I recently published that manuscript into an inspirational book just last month.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The name of my latest book is “Win No Matter What.” I was inspired when I went to New York City and saw all the people, especially in the subway stations, that were rushed and emotionless. I wanted to then show people how to make the most of every day.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I’m actually pretty normal! I just always have to listen to music while writing which is kind of strange.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Stephen Covey’s books have influenced me for sure. He also writes inspirational books, and he just makes them so interesting, fun, and though-provoking to read all at the same time.
What are you working on now?
At the moment, I’m just working on marketing my first book since it just came out. In fact, most of the profits from all those book sales are going to the Acumen fund, an international charity that invests in solutions to combat global world poverty.
I’m sure I will be working on another book at some point in the future though ๐
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I am involved in a lot of Facebook groups, and I literally email every contact that I know to tell them about my book.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Keep at it! Publishing a book is a complicated process and promotion afterwards doesn’t get any easier, but it’s very satisfying and actually fun too!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Do what you love. Love what you do.
What are you reading now?
My book of course…haha just kidding! I’m actually starting a novel titled “When the Emperor was Divine” by Julie Otsuka.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Definitely just trying to make my writing better and take my books to the next level!
What is your favorite book of all time?
