Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I was born on the island of São Miguel in the Azores, Portugal and since young I always had a passion for writing fictional and fantasy stories. I work as a UI/UX Designer and I have a small gaming YouTube channel, but I’ve been writing fantasy since I was 16 years old, but I never really finished any story until recently. My wife is also a writer. She only writes about our travels, but recently she wanted me to finish one of my stories. That’s how The Bridge came to live. At the moment is the only book I’ve finished.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The Bridge. It was inspired by an old paragraph that I wrote many years ago. That text also inspired a short movie that I made for college 10 years ago. It’s a Fictional Psychological Thriller with a bit of fantasy.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Not really. I just listen to music to get into the mood.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
David Gemmell was the main author that made me love fantasy and writing. I also read many of José Rodrigues dos Santos books that had influenced me and of course my wife. She brought me back to writing my stories.
What are you working on now?
Until recently I was working on The Bridge (English Translation) but I’m starting to work on a new medieval fantasy project.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I’m still new to all of it, so I really don’t have a best method, I’m still research it and trying all I can do.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
I guess, it would be to never give up.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
To never give up until your dreams come true.
What are you reading now?
The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson
What’s next for you as a writer?
One of my biggest dreams is to write a Fantasy Saga and I guess I’ll start working on it.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The books from A Song of Ice and Fire
