About Oberon
When too much is not enough.
Set in Australia during the eighties, Rockstar Mark Pugliese, escapes his drug fuelled life of excess in his trusty white steed. Only to crash into his future, among canola fields of the sleepy town of Oberon.
With his leather pants, puffy satin shirt, and eyeliner, exchanged for blue jeans, flannel and dirt, Lisa DeLaurentiis becomes the love of his life as well as his saviour but will opposing forces destroy everything?
The story begins in harbourside mansion in Balmain East, where Mark embarks an actual and emotional journey. It combines Australian and Italian immigrant cultures in Sydney Australia, as well as the 80’s fashion and music.
Mark finds himself in the sleepy town of Oberon where he stays with a rural family that reminds him of where he came from. As his most prized possession, an Alfa Romeo sports car was being repaired, so to was Mark, when he realises what he was missing and what he truly wanted.
However, some unfriendly forces endeavour to shatter his and Lisa’s happiness. The question is, will he find his way to the light, or would darkness be his future?

Author Bio:
The son of Italian immigrants that made Australia their home, Nero, along with his brother and sister, were raised within Australian and Italian cultures. He grew up in the working-class suburb of Blacktown and was always creative, with a focus on music, which led him toward amateur and professional musicals and choirs. Later, he became a wedding singer.
The name Mark Nero is the nom de plume chosen by the author, as a way of making it easier for the reader to remember and search his name. As an entertainer, he went by the stage name of Marco da Vinci for the same reason.
Priding himself as being a Renaissance man, Mark has worked in different industries and lived in different countries, including the Unites States. His favourite novels are written by Dean Koontz, Stephen King, Melina Marchetta Dan Brown, Derek Hansen, and Stephanie Meyer. One day, he thought of an idea for a book…
The idea has led to a series of books and short stories but what drove him to write, was his natural creativity and the burning question, what if?
