Interview With Author Ognjen Livada
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
My name is Ognjen, and I’m from Croatia. I really enjoy storytelling and writing stories. I’ve written 5 books, about ten short stories, and I have as many more in stock that I want to finish
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Orion – The Star Dog is my first science fiction work, inspired by my dearly loved dog named Orion. I wondered what would happen if an alien from the Orion constellation came to Earth and accidentally took on the embodied hologram of a dog.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
It depends what we call the usual ones 🙂
What authors, or books have influenced you?
There are many of them but if I had to put a few names out it would be: Anthony de Melo and Richard Bach.
What are you working on now?
Oh, that’s a big problem; I have too many ideas and don’t know where to start first. 🙂
I have a few short stories for children that I would like to write down. I got the ideas for them during storytelling sessions in kindergarten. I would like to finish the novel ‘King of All Roosters’ and create new sequels for ‘The Boy Who Loved Boats’ and ‘Knight with a Heart.’ I also have two more book ideas, but I would like to keep their titles to myself.”
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I am just starting to do the online promotions.

Be authentic.

What’s next for you as a writer?
Continue writing and work on visibility.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Two survival guides, ‘Awareness’ by De Mello, and one blank book in which I can write.
