Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a mother of a 2-year-old toddler, a public speaker, and a cooking expert since the age of 10 when I started cooking for my younger brother. I like to help people to gain confidence. I helped many people to start eating healthy food and it changed their lives. That’s why I decided to start writing books. I hope it will help much more people because unfortunately there are too many overweight people in the USA.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest and the only book so far is “30 Day Whole Foods Cookbook”. It contains 90 amazing recipes with photos: simple and tasty. I always wanted to make a book like this, and to share my favorite meal ideas with humanity.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I like writing travel notes. But it is private. My family members and the closest friends like to read it from time to time. It is especially fun to check those notes in a few years after the trip. It is interesting how the way of thinking changes as the years pass.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I respect many authors. In fact all of those who put their efforts and try to bring something new to this world. Dallas Hartwig and Melissa Hartwig are among the best cookbook writers.
What are you working on now?
I still have some other job to do before I start my next book. But I have many materials and ideas to share. I will decide on that very soon.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Social media is one of the most powerful instruments today… I think so.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Just do it. Go ahead and try. There is nothing to lose, but if you never try, you never know the result.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Live with a dream and make plans. Then follow the plan step by step, and always keep it in mind!
What are you reading now?
Erich Maria Remarque “All Quiet on the Western Front”
What’s next for you as a writer?
I noticed most of the cookbooks lack great photos. They may be very specific and the recipes may be amazing, but it all pales without the bright photos. I want to make a super book with HD-quality step-by-step photos.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Robinson Crusoe ๐ But I know what you mean – my most favorite books ever. I have dozens, so would be hard to pick 3 or 4. Maybe “Ulysses”, “The Making of Americans” and “A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man”.
