Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am retired, and this was a bucket list thing I have always wanted to do. I live in New Zealand with my wife of nearly fifty years, I have two children and one granddaughter. Whispers of the Past is my first novel of a trilogy. I have completed the second book Shadows of the Mind and it is at the proofreading stage. The third book Clearing of the Mist is nearing completion to round up the trilogy. Each book is complete within its own story.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
WHISPERS OF THE PAST. over forty years of genealogy and with a love of history, instead of writing a family story I thought fiction where you can change anything you want and with this in mind, I wrote my novel
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
No, not really, I mainly write early in the morning, and I write chapter to chapter.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Wilbur Smith, Brian Courtney and writers of this ilk have always impressed me.
What are you working on now?
My last book of the trilogy Clearing of the Mist. Though I have a couple more in my head that I will work on after Clearing is complete
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I have been using Facebook and all the book clubs within Facebook. I tout the book shops and have sold about 1000 units. ebook-wise I think about 300 odd
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Just do it. we all have at least one story within ourselves. It does not matter how it sounds just write. Get it down on paper that is the start.

Never say never

What’s next for you as a writer?
To finish my third book, then start researching the book that I have in mind.
