Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
After school I studied Philosophy, Religion and History. I have also enjoyed examining the past as I believe that it holds the key to our future. At the sometime I am a big advocate for technology. I often write or tell people stories where technology and fantasy collide, many days I spent creating various role playing adventures that covered these topics.
When I am not writing I am working as like most people I have my day job which helps pay the bills. Although in that I get to write computer programs so I always get to be creative.
I have written a number of books both fiction and non fiction however my current book is the first time I actually decided to publish as it has always seemed so daunting.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My Current book is called The Harlequin Files: Resonance Key. The story is designed to be three parts and works within a future setting. It was inspired by my interest in Philosophy, religion and Ancient history. There are so many theories that try to explain ancient sites, both conventional and unconventional. This story is my attempt to bring some of the unconventional theories into the light and I would say that has been my ultimate inspiration. Almost everything within the Resonance Key can be researched by the reader.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
None that I can think of, I am sure that others would disagree.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Authors influence me more than just books. The Authors that influence me the most are the likes of David Gemmell, Clive Barker and even Plato. Their idea’s and characters have always tied close to my own Philosophy, I can draw a great level of inspiration from these Authors.
What are you working on now?
I am currently working on the sequel to the Resonance Key and an old idea that I have played with for a number of years. That story will be very different I want to explore a larger universe.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Still exploring. There are just so many options and I find it currently rather overwhelming.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Don’t be afraid just try and keep on trying.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Why do we fall, so that we can pick ourselves up again. It was from Batman begins and it really struck a cord with me.
What are you reading now?
Currently I am not reading but I recently finished Hiram’s Key by Christopher Knight. It was a great book and opened a great number of new thoughts and places for me to explore.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Keep on trying and getting more and more out .
What is your favorite book of all time?
Tough question there are so many great books but I think the book that struck a cord with me the most would be Magician by Raymond Feist. I read it when I was in high school. It was the first fantasy book I read and I still read it today. Its a ritual I have, each year I go back and read it. The book has never ceased to amaze me and each time I read it I find something new in it.
