About Pack Hunter by Lee Cushing
Catherine Jordan is an operative for a secret organisation that hunts down evil. Her next mission far outweighs any other she has ever experienced, this time the risks are personal – they involve her girlfriend Daphne, who has gone missing when a plane is hijacked, a beastly tropical island and a deadly lottery where nobody wins, nobody human anyhow.
This Pop Culture Horror story is not based on medieval folklore or Germanic pagan times, it is a modern day thriller with elements of American Werewolf in London, the series Lost and Hunger Games. The phenomenon of lycanthropy activity is rampant. The shape-shifters heavily populate a deserted tropical island, surviving, thriving, hunting and devouring anything that breathes….they are ravenous, craving human flesh!
Catherine is not fooled by the illusions of a stunning yet dangerous tropical island, that masks a breeding ground for the pack to launch from. From there they are sprawled throughout our cities as humans morphing into wolves, whenever the need arises with howling successes. Her desperate efforts to rescue Daphne in time are driven by their love for one another, but are all her attempts futile? And who, if anybody, survives the beautiful island’s morbid, evil, blood-soaked environment?

Opening the door to the London flat, the woman with long and curly red hair stepped outside into
the narrow walkway overlooking the children’s playground and the road beyond.
Catherine Jordan stopped and turned, smiling at the sight of the dark skinned beauty standing
in the doorway. Taking a step back inside, she gave Daphne McBride a long kiss before moving
back. “I’m only going to be gone for a few days at most.”
“Just when I was getting used to waking up next to you every morning.” Daphne smiled with
amusement, “It’s all those other women on the Amicus that might attract your attention.”
Catherine shook her head, laughing out loud. “I’m a one woman kind of girl.” Kissing
Daphne again, she said her goodbyes and started walking towards the stairs at the end of the
passage.
Closing the door, Daphne walked back across the short hallway into the tiny kitchen at the
rear of the flat to make herself a cup of tea.
She was almost done when she turned back to face the hall, hearing the doorbell ringing.
Leaving the kettle whistling, she returned to the front door and opened it.
The thought that Catherine had come back for a few more moments faded when she found
herself looking at Alexandra. “Come in.”
Limping past Daphne as she entered the hall, Alexandra continued into the lounge. “I saw
Miss Jordan when I was on the way up. I’m sorry Jen Costas requested her assistance
interrogating those Pisachas disciples we caught in Berlin last week.”
“She promised it’ll only be a couple of days before she comes back home.” Daphne invited
Alexandra to sit down, “I guess that brings me to wondering why you’re here. You’ve never been
one for making house calls.”
Alexandra lowered herself onto one of the chairs, “You’ve heard of Lindstadt Airlines.”
“Won’t be a minute.” Rising to finish making the tea, Daphne paused in the lounge doorway
and glanced back. “Do you want a cup of tea?”
“No thank you.” Alexandra watched her head back to the kitchen.
Returning after a minute or two, Daphne placed her cup on a small table and returned to the
couch where she had been sitting. “Aren’t Lindstadt Airlines suspected of offering transport
services to demon cults.”
Nodding, Alexandra placed her cane on the table close to the cup of tea. “We believe that
there’s something planned for today.” She paused long enough to remove a small transmitting device from her jacket pocket, “Now there’s five flights due to be leaving from Bray airport, I’ve arranged for you to be booked on a flight heading to Los Angeles. You’ll need this for us to see if there’s any deviation from the registered flight plan.”
Daphne took the transmitter, “I suppose I’m already booked on another flight coming back?”
Rising to her feet, Alexandra retrieved her cane. “You’ll be able to pick up your ticket as soon
as you get to the airport and you’ll be back before Miss Jordan returns from the Amicus.”
