Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m an Italian author, and I wrote two books. The last one “The monk with no past” has been translated also in english and is available on Amazon worldwide.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My last book is “The monk with no past”. It is a novel where the protagonist casually accepts a proposal to travel to Tibet where, thanks to the wise words of an old monk, he discovers surprising truths and the existence of a new world and a new self. I collected in this book all my discoveries about the true nature of the world, inserting ideas and hypothesis coming from my knowledge of the quantum physics. I thought an old Tibetan monk was the right character to say so revolutionary things. the book was a bestseller in Italy, where it has sold thousands of copies and has been for several weeks in the top-100 in the ebook category, collecting more than 120 positive feedback.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I usually write early in the morning, because it’s the only time I can concentrate and find good inspiration.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I am very inspired by the books of Oriental doctrines, especially Tibetan and Indian, by authors such as Nisargadatta Maharaj, Krishnamurti, Thich Nhat Hanh, etc. I also read books from early New Age authors, such as Thomas Troward, Neville Goddard, Charles Haanel, etc.
What are you working on now?
I’m writing a new book entitled The Escape Plan, where I’ll talk about the best techniques to change our mental habits and get out of the invisible cage that keeps us prisoners.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
For the Italian market, normally I promote my book on Facebook, where I have more than 48000 Italian followers. For the US and UK markets it’s more difficult because my name is not known outside of Italy.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Yes, of course. Believe in your abilities and never give up. I did not think I could sell thousands of copies of my book, but it all happened suddenly, without me realizing it.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
A phrase by Henry Ford: Whether you believe it or not to be successful, you are always right.
What are you reading now?
I’m reading “Parallel Universes of Self” by Frederick Dodson. I’ve read many self development books over the past decade, but I think this is the best I’ve read so far about the connection between quantum physics and personal growth.
What’s next for you as a writer?
As I said, I’m writing my third book, and I hope this will become my main activity in the future. I love to write, and I also saw that many people love what I write. I will do my best to give them the best.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, I am That by Nisargadatta Maharaj, Parallel Universes of Self by Frederick Dodson and last but not least, Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch.
