Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I love to write, I love to learn. Spending over 10 years at university college has given me snappy fingers. In that time I’ve written three published books and in the meantime am working on another two!
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is a short piece called Alby’s Suffering Heart: The Schizophrenic Psychotic Saint.
It was inspired by the struggle of mental health and spirituality – those who seek to better their lives while in the midst of such stress should be honoured.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Yes. Yes I do. If it is a sunny day I write with a blissful theme. If it is an overcast day, I write with an apocalyptic style.
It’s quite interesting to notice when reviewing my works.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
An Old Orthodox Pope actually. Pope Shenouda the Third. He wrote for the wellbeing of others and wrote with such insight and wisdom.
What are you working on now?
A discourse on the foundation of morality in Western Society; its causes, effects and its changing environment.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Definitely Awesome Gang
Do you have any advice for new authors?
One person’s scribble is another’s bedtime story. Tell some stories.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Never give up.
What are you reading now?
The Orthodox Way by Bishop Kallistos Ware.
What’s next for you as a writer?
More books. Definitely more books.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Bible, offcourse. SAS – Survival Guide from Bear Grylls Team, ‘Don’t Change The Locks by Simon French’, and most likely a seafood cuisine recipe book from Jamie Oliver.
