Interview With Author Paula Price
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am an author, actress and Happiness Coach, originally from MidWest/ East Coast (Rochester, NY, Springfield, VA and Cincinnati OH). Graduated with a BA in Communications:Radio/TV from Xavier University and have done everything from running a corporate video studio to producing my own films. My goal is to help others find and live in their own light to live their true purpose.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The Quest for Happiness. To Be Happy, or Not to Be Happy. The Choice is Yours.
My inspiration came from working on myself and realizing the need to pay it forward and help others realize they have a daily choice in how they want to live.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I think I’m pretty straight forward in my approach. I get inspiration/ideas and take notes on my phone and then write a chapter when it “creates itself”.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I love books like The Untethered Soul by Michael A Singer, Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill, and The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. Anything that sparks growth for the soul and moving humanity forward is important to me.
What are you working on now?
I’m working on my children’s edition of The Quest for Happiness as well as my next self help book that will hopefully take one more down the journey to their own sovereignty and purpose.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I published on Amazon (KDP) as well as being available on Ingram for most bookstores to order. I use Amazon Ads as well as those for social media but I find word of mouth on groups (like woman’s networking groups or spiritual driven groups) also help drive sales. I am also a proud member of IBPA.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Biggest advise it to never stop doing research and join any and all author groups you can be a part of. (Reddit, facebook, IBPA and other author organizations) Don’t be afraid to ask questions because I find that the author community is very giving in helping their fellow authors.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Everything takes time but don’t stop believing in your product.
