Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Phil Pearl, the author of ‘Killing Time’, spent a decade working in the oilfield services industry all over the world in field and management positions, before taking up software development in the U.S. He has worked for companies such as Wells Fargo bank and Microsoft, as well as government organizations like the Bureau of Land Management and the FBI. Killing Time is his first novel.
He provided the software and support for the FBI’s nationwide undercover sting, ‘Operation Disconnect’, to arrest crooked telemarketers, before working for Microsoft Research where he built Web pages and sites. He also wrote a book on designing and building web pages.
He lives in the greater Seattle area of Washington State, U.S.A.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My first book is “Killing Time” and it was inspired by current events in the U.S. at the time of writing ( Spring 1027 ).
What authors, or books have influenced you?
All the poor mystery books that I’ve read!
What are you working on now?
An idea for a new book on Cyber Security.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I wish I had found one …
