Author Bio:
Children’s book author Melissa Kay Moore, a Texas native, is a graduate from Texas State University. She grew up in Brownsville near South Padre Island and lives in San Antonio with her family.
Melissa loves the ocean and supports several foundations helping to save our oceans from pollution. She in collaboration with Christine Figgener, PhD, Marine Conservation Biologist and Director of Science and Education for Footprint Foundation bring you “Poppy’s Purpose to Prevent Pollution” the first book in the “Footprint” children’s book series. The book raises awareness by teaching children the harmful effects of plastics to our ocean friends and how they can help to keep our oceans clean. Together we can change the world to help our planet and its inhabitants live healthier lives.
Melissa’s prior works include “What’s Emoji?”, “Where’s Emoji?”, and “How’s Emoji?” books in her playful, educational “My First Emojis” children’s book series. The books promote literacy to help teach children to read with a fun, simple kind of rebus using emojis.
Melissa has many more ideas and plans to publish more children’s books in her “My First Emojis” and “Footprint” series.
