About Prayers for Evil: A Novel
Autumn leaves turn to crimson and gold, the scent of wood smoke drifts in the wind, a chill descends at sunset as fall arrives in a small Maine town. But fear soon creeps into the peaceful village when an unholy force rises up from the ashes of dark medieval rituals. A long dormant curse, with tentacles in the Nazi obsession with the occult and New England’s violent past, spins an invisible web of danger that threatens to ensnare everyone in the small town. Chris Murphy arrives in Maine with his little daughter to take on a new job assignment. On the rebound from an ugly breakup, he seeks a new life and a fresh start. Before long he finds career challenges, new friends, and a sizzling new romance. But another quiet newcomer unleashes a mystical evil that strikes down the town’s residents one by one. A series of mysterious accidents soon threatens those closest to Chris. With only the help of a most unlikely partner, can he find the roots of this wickedness on Halloween night and defeat it before it destroys those he loves most?
