Interview With Author Preben Honerød-Bentsen
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m Honerod, a Norwegian author and engineer with a double master’s degree. I have written two books, “701 Life Lessons” and “701 Life Quotes,” both focused on personal growth and self-development.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest books are “701 Life Lessons” and “701 Life Quotes.” The idea for these books started as a document where I saved motivational lessons and quotes that I found inspiring. As the list grew, I decided to turn it into a book and share my insights with others. This was before the 2010s.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Yes, I have a few unusual writing habits. I use the Pomodoro Technique to increase my productivity when writing. With a full-time job, I usually write in the evenings or before work. Additionally, I have set a goal to write 200 words daily.

What are you working on now?
I am currently working on my next non-fiction book, which I plan to publish this summer.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
When it comes to promoting my books, I utilize a multi-faceted approach to reach my target audience. One of the primary channels I use is social media. By leveraging platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, I am able to build a following and engage with potential readers.
Another effective method I use is utilizing book promotion sites. These sites allow me to connect with a wider audience and reach readers who may be interested in my work.
I also make use of Fiverr, which is a platform where I can hire freelancers to help me with various tasks related to book promotion, such as creating graphics or writing articles.
Finally, I rely heavily on word of mouth. Encouraging satisfied readers to recommend my work to others is a great way to expand my reach and gain new fans.

Do you have any advice for new authors?

Finally, it’s crucial to find your genre. This will allow you to focus your efforts and hone your craft in a specific area. Understanding your genre will also help you target your audience and market your work effectively.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?

This advice has helped me approach challenges with a growth mindset, recognizing that difficulties and obstacles are opportunities for growth and learning.
Another valuable piece of advice I’ve received is to learn to be comfortable being outside of your comfort zone. This has encouraged me to take risks and try new things, leading to personal and professional growth.
Lastly, I would say that a lot of the best advice I’ve received can be found in my book. I believe that my book offers unique perspectives and insights on personal growth, self-development, and improving one’s life.
