Author Bio:
Hi there! My name is Sarah, and I am a 32-year-old mother of beautiful daughter Sophia. This autobiography is my story of how I came to write “Pure and Simple” and why nourishing little tummies has become one of my life’s greatest joys.
My love for cooking remained as a hobby until Sophia was born. When Sophia arrived, everything changed. Like most new parents, I wanted to give my child the best of everything. As a foodie, I was particularly excited about introducing her to the world of food. I wanted to ensure that the first tastes that touched her little tongue were nutritious and delicious.
The idea of writing a cookbook specifically for babies and toddlers began to take shape as Sophia transitioned from purees to more solid foods. I noticed a gap in the market for recipes that were not only healthy and nutritious but also simple and easy for busy parents. I wanted to create a resource that could help other parents like me, who wanted to introduce their children to healthy eating habits from a young age.
Writing this book was not without challenges. As a new mom, I was learning to juggle the demands of parenthood while also pursuing my passion. Late-night writing sessions, testing and retesting recipes, and navigating the publishing process all while caring for a toddler was not easy. But every time I looked at Sophia, I was reminded of why I started this journey. Her laughter, her curiosity, and her enjoyment of the meals I prepared for her fuelled my motivation.
Another challenge was ensuring that the recipes were not only healthy and nutritious but also allergen-friendly. With so many children having food allergies these days, I wanted my book to be as inclusive as possible. I spent hours researching and consulting with paediatric and nutritionists to ensure that the recipes were safe and suitable for a wide range of dietary needs.
After months of hard work, “Pure and Simple” was finally published.
Writing “Pure and Simple” has been a life-changing experience for me. It has not only allowed me to share my passion with others but also to connect with a community of parents who share similar values. I’ve learned so much about nutrition, child development, and the importance of establishing healthy eating habits early on.
Looking forward, I have plans to write more books, focusing on different aspects of child nutrition and family meals. I want to continue to explore how we can make food fun, healthy, and accessible for families.
Most importantly, I want to keep inspiring parents to enjoy the journey of feeding their children and to create memories in the kitchen.
Thank you for joining me on this journey, and happy cooking!
