Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Hi, I’m Quirah and I am a graphic designer and a urban fantasy and contemporary romance author. I currently have 5 published books (with 2 others that are temporarily pulled), and many more planned for the future.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The name of my latest book is “Stealing The Throne”. I wish I could say what inspired it, but I started the original story at 14 or 15, 6-7 years ago so I can’t remember. I want to say it was possibly The Selection by Kiera Cass. What made me revisit the book though, was getting off into the genre of Reverse Harem.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I would say procrastination, but I think that’s in the author welcome package.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
There have been many books to influence me, but to think of a few off top, I’d have to say Night Huntress by Jeanine Frost, Try by Ella Frank, Curse of the Gods by Jaymin Eve and Jane Washington, and Twilight by Stephanie Mayer. All of these books influenced me in different ways. Night Huntress made me fall in love with tough heroines, Try introduced me to LGBT romance which I now love and has also played a huge part in me becoming a more open person. Curse of the Gods introduced me to reverse harem and inspired me to start writing in the genre and pick up some old manuscripts that immediately became more interesting when I added the new element. Twilight made me fall in love with reading which then inspired my love of writing.
What are you working on now?
Right now, I am working on book two of “The Blue Devil” and “Chronicles of the Throne”, a single parent contemporary reverse harem romance entitled “relapse”, and some other surprise releases for next year.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
My best method for promoting books right now is facebook.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Don’t focus on what others are doing or how long it takes for you to reach your goals, just keep going.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Don’t compare your beginning to someone else’s middle.
What are you reading now?
“Sins” by Candace Wondrak.
What’s next for you as a writer?
My next big goal is to publish a minimum of twenty books in 2020 and earn a bestseller tag next to my name.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Oh, that’s hard, the Twihard in me wants to say “Twilight” but there are so many books that I love so much that I honestly just can’t pick.
