Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
My name is Rhashaada Stern, but I go by R.S. Nicole. I was born and raised in Harrisburg, PA and I currently reside in Tampa, FL. I have always loved to read and write. I also have a love for Urban Fiction books and I have always wanted to write my own. The passion I have for writing has driven me to pursue being an author and I currently have one book published, and it goes by the name of: Love Me Long Time and another short story on the way.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Love Me Long Time and I was actually inspired by this current generation. Lately, both men and women are intrigued by how much money someone has and their social status. My book has two couples, which both of their significant others are only with them for what they have and what they can provide. There is real love there, but they are in love with what their partner can do for them.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I freestyle a lot and I do not outline.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Ashley Antoinette is one of my favorite authors and she has actually inspired me to keep going. I actually started writing in third person from reading her books. She is great at what she does!
What are you working on now?
I am currently working on a two or three-part series if I can stretch it out that far. The title is: I’d Rather Be With a Bad Boy Like You.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
My best method is to share links and small excerpts of my books so that people can get intrigued by what little they have read, and they will want to read more.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Keep pushing! Writing is not easy and it definitely takes time. Do not get discouraged by the feedback you receive. You’re only going to get better as time goes on.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“Write until it becomes as natural as breathing and write until not writing, makes you anxious.”
What are you reading now?
I am browsing through kindle unlimited, picking my next book. Currently, I have been reading books by Chenell Parker.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Putting out more of my work and becoming a best-selling author one day. I have the faith that I will get there and I won’t stop until I do. Even when I am there, I will keep writing. I love what I do and I wouldn’t change it.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Definitely a series by Ashley Antoinette. I would probably bring her most recent series, ‘Ethic’. I haven’t gotten a chance to read it yet and judging by the reviews, I’m missing out big time!
